Participation in Highmark Blue Shield's 2009 Annual "Walk for a Healthy Community" Raises $8600 for LifePath LifePath was one of 17 Lehigh Valley area non-profits who participated in Highmark’s 5th annual Walk for a Healthy Community in Downtown Historic Bethlehem June 13, 2009. Since Highmark Blue Shield underwrites the cost of the walk, 100% of the money raised by walkers supports the participating groups who are each responsible for raising their own funds. More than 100 walkers gathered under LifePath’s tent at Main and Lehigh Streets early that (DRY!) Saturday morning to support LifePath’s second year as beneficiaries of the event. Walkers were asked to gather pledges for LifePath to support their participation in the event. More than 200 generous donors helped LifePath to raise $8600 to support our programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities! Thank you to Highmark Blue Shield, everyone who walked, donated, solicited pledges and volunteered their time to make our participation in this year’s walk another success. 2009 "Walk" Photos:
