NBA All-Star, Bill Walton will be the keynote speaker at the 14th annual LifePath & Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants' (PICPA) Thanksgiving benefit and awards luncheon Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center, Fogelsville, PA.

This annual event assists LifePath in raising awareness of the needs of individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. Last year’s luncheon was attended by 600 guests and raised more than $126,000 to support LifePath’s programs and services, which include residential and day programs, vocational training, respite care, life sharing and supported living, outpatient mental health services, early intervention and a dedicated pediatric care facility. Past event speakers include NFL great, Mike Ditka; Super Bowl championship-winning coach, Dick Vermeil; Phillies’ All-Star, John Kruk; Phillies’ Hall of Fame third baseman, Mike Schmidt; Buffalo Bills’ Hall of Fame quarterback, Jim Kelly; and Notre Dame football legend, Rudy Ruettiger.

Walk with LifePath in June!

Registration Form PDFLifePath will be participating in its fourth Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community on Saturday, June 11, 2011 in Downtown Historic Bethlehem. The event will feature a one-mile fun walk and a 5K walk (both stroller and wheelchair accessible.) Walk for a Healthy Community brings together 23 local non-profit organizations that deliver vital health and human service programs to the community.

There is no registration fee for the walk, however all walkers are encouraged to raise funds for the participating organization of their choice. Last year, over 80 walkers helped LifePath raise $9500 to support our programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our goal this year is to raise $10,000. Since Highmark Blue Shield underwrites the cost of the walk, 100% of the money raised by LifePath stays with LifePath.

This year, the LifePath Foundation will award a grant worth half of the walk’s total proceeds to the LifePath service county which raises the most money!

Walk for a Healthy Community is just a fun day for participants and their families, coworkers and friends to support their favorite organization while focusing on ways to engage in healthful, active lifestyles. We hope LifePath can count on your support of this important event!

Registration is LIVE! You can sign up TODAY to walk for LifePath by visiting the event’s official website, or download and print the registration form PDF and return it to LifePath, ATTN: Ann Marie Surovy, 3500 High Point Blvd., Bethlehem, PA 18017. Please be sure to “√” LifePath!
