CALL
TO ACTION:
E-mail Governor Rendell and Support a COLA Increase In 2009!
Indications
are that Governor Rendell is preparing an "austerity budget"
that may not include a cost-of-living adjustment for the fiscal
year starting this July. Now is the time to urge him not to forget
about the important work organizations like LifePath provide to
some of our most vulnerable and underrepresented citizens. PAR makes
this easy to do. Please follow the below link and in about 30 seconds,
you, too can help urge the governor to support legislation to improve
our future funding. Thank you!

"Walk
For A Healthy Community" with LifePath in June
LifePath
will be participating in its first "Walk for a Healthy Community
presented by Highmark Blue Shield" on Saturday, June 14, 2008. LifePath
is participating in the walk because it gives our organization the
opportunity to raise funds to support our programs. The 5K walk
and one-mile fun walk will take place in Historic Downtown Bethlehem.
The fourth annual "Walk for a Healthy Community presented
by Highmark Blue Shield" will benefit 13 Lehigh Valley health and
human service agencies. Since Highmark Blue Shield underwrites the
cost of the walk, 100 percent of the money raised by walkers supports
the 13 participating
organizations, including LifePath.
We
would like to ask your company to consider becoming a corporate
sponsor or forming a team to participate and help raise money for
LifePath. While there are no registration fees, participants are
asked to get pledges for the participating organization of their
choice. More information is available by visiting www.walkforahealthycommunity.org.
Ann Marie would love to come out and speak with your employees on
ways to become involved or even set up a sign-up day in your business'
lobby or cafeteria where interested individuals can register on-site.
If you or your company would be willing to put together a team,
please e-mail Ann Marie at amsurovy@lifepath.org
or call 484-893-5539. Online registration will begin next month.
"Walk
For A Healthy Community" is just a fun day for participants and their
families, coworkers and friends to support their favorite organization
while focusing on ways to engage in healthful, active lifestyles.
I hope LifePath can count on your support of this important event!

Sellersville
Day Programs Celebrate Holidays in Style
The
annual Sellersville day programs' holiday luncheon was held at the
Franconia Heritage Restaurant on December 20, 2007. Davey
J entertained the crowd as Elvis while Barry Weaver made balloon
hats for all. No party would be complete without Santa, played by
instructor, Tim Moyer. The Plymouth day program also joined in the
fun along with many family members. There was a lot of music and
dancing their way into the holiday spirit!
