LifePath Holds First Wellness Fair in Lehigh

LifePath’s Human Resources department held its first wellness fair at the Lehigh office Friday, October 24, 2008 with wellness fairs to follow in Sellersville and Media in November. Staff were invited to receive their annual flu shots, gather information about cancer and stress management, get a bone density reading, have their body mass index evaluated and blood pressure taken, and enjoy some healthful snacks, opportunities to win prizes and receive training credit for their participation.

Montgomery County Day Program Holds 3rd Annual Iron Chef Competition

LifePath's Montgomery County adult day program held its 3rd annual Iron Chef competition October 22, 2008. Staff competed by making recipes using chicken as a main ingredient. LifePath management staff members Tanya Schoeffling, Mike Mellow, Kristin Strohl and Ed Zablocki helped judge the six entries and select the winners. First prize and the best texture designation went to Dawn Jacobs with her recipe “Just Jerk.” Second prize and “most unique” went to Gladys Stanton with “Cordon Bleu Bites.” Third prize went to LifePath Executive Director and CEO Paul Coleman with “Triple X Cheesy Chicken Dip.” “Best taste” went to Irlande Alces’ roasted chicken and potatoes.

LifePath Spends An “Evening In Oz”

More than 200 consumers, staff and family members from the Lehigh Valley area attended LifePath’s 15th Annual Recognition Banquet Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Northampton Community Center, Northampton, PA. The theme of the event was “Evening In Oz.” Guests enjoyed dinner, a special performance by PA Dance Network Inc. and plenty of dancing to music supplied by Surge Mobile DJs. Special recognition awards were also presented to several consumers for outstanding achievements made over the past year.

It's All Fun and Games for Montco Day Program!

On Thursday, October 2, 2008, more than 30 Montgomery County day program staff, consumers and their families visited the new Dave & Busters in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Everyone had a great time, enjoying desserts, playing games and winning prizes!
